Best Maui Jim retailer on Earth (2010-07-24)
I bought these for my wife after buying mine at an Army Exchange on post. I have never seen anyone beat the Exchange prices for Maui Jims. Sunglass Stop blew them away. The glasses arrived ahead of time, brand new, original packaging, as advertised. What a great value and Maui Jim's best kept secret. Why would anyone pay full price for their sunglasses when they could get them from Sunglass Stop?
Excellent until they break (2010-06-08)
I like these a lot. I've had two pair...and had two pairs break. Maui Jim says their Grilamid frames are, "the ultimate in durability". They aren't. The last pair I had broke three times and not from overt abuse. The first break was at a temple and held with epoxy for quite a while but recently a hinge broke and then they broke (cracked straight through)at the bridge by simply dropping them on a tile floor. I made new frames from brass and steel (not terribly heavy either) and put the lenses on those...
I love Maui Jim brand (2010-05-15)
I got a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses 5 years ago for my birthday. They finally had a crack and so I bought this replacement one. What I love about Maui Jim is that they are extremely light and it doesn't feel like you are wearing any sunglasses. It also don't pinch the side of my head. I would recommend this brand.
Maui Jim Ho'okipa (2010-04-26)
GREAT Sunglasses! Polarized lens removes the glare better than either my Oakley's or Revos'. Not quite as dark as some, but dark enough to work, and light enough to still use on partly cloudy days. Like everyone else says, they are so lightweight, you forget you are wearing them.
